Minibus Training With Trailer
Our advanced minibus training with a trailer will cover many topics, including how to tackle tricky parking situations, manoeuvre with ease and manage the safety of your trailer.
D1+E Minibus Training With Trailer
Along with our D1 training, we also offer D1+E training, which will guide you through not only how to drive a minibus but also operate a vehicle with a trailer. It is an excellent two-in-one course that will maximise your driving skills, allowing you to tackle difficult situations with ease. Not only this, but you will also become well-versed in how to manoeuvre larger vehicles, as well as uncouple and recouple a trailer safely.
When booking your D1+E minibus training with a trailer, you will be able to choose between three course options. These have been specifically designed to suit the needs of drivers at different levels, ensuring that you can make the most out of your time with your instructor. Our courses range between one, two and three days, with the one-day course suited to those who have experience driving a minibus but need to work with an instructor to prepare for the test. For those with little to no experience, on the other hand, our comprehensive three-day course will provide you with ample time to practice and far more freedom in terms of mileage, thoroughly preparing you for your test. Regardless of the course type that you opt for, the training will always end with your test.
Requirements To Drive A Minibus
In order to legally drive a minibus, you must have the D1 category on your licence. If you passed your test initially before 1st January 1997, then this is where it may become a little more complicated. Anyone who gained their full UK licence before this date will already have the D1 category, which means that they do not legally need to take any additional training. They are, however, limited as they cannot drive the minibus for hire or reward purposes. For those with a licence dated after the 1st January 1997, our full D1 training will be required, and you must successfully pass your test.
Not only do you need the necessary D1 category to drive a minibus, but you must also meet driver requirements. For example, you must be over the age of 21 and have had your driving licence for at least two years. You should also only be driving the minibus for non-commercial purposes. All of this information will be discussed during your training, and your instructor would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sharing Excellent Feedback
"I was quite nervous about my minibus training but my instructor, Dave, was absolutely excellent at helping me to stay calm and keep my concentration. He was really thorough with going through everything and took the time out to answer all of my questions. I was so pleased when my examiner gave me the news I’d passed the first time, and it was all down to Pure Driving. "
